Shadland For the Moment ROMC x BPIG Ch.Westpointe Shelgrande Soiree) Salsa is owned by our good friend Laura Willson (Wildwest Shelties) and is a Cayley daughter. Although she looks like a tri-color, we found out she is a Cryptic Blue when we bred her to a Pure For Sable dog and got 2 Sable Merle puppies! Salsa has both her US Majors and only requires 3 singles to finish that elusive American Championship. We are forever indebted to Laura for so generously sharing Salsa with us. She finished her Can Championship at 10 months of age with multiple Puppy Group wins, a Best Puppy in Show and a Best of Breed win over seasoned specials. Through the years we've been blessed by breeders who have been willing to entrust us with their best girls so that we have been able to have excellent bloodlines in our foundation females. My all-time favorite bitch is Multi BIS, BISS, BPIS Am/Can Ch. Westpointe's Silouette ROMC (winner of the Veterans Class and AOM at the 2007 ASSA Nat'l.) We are so fortunate to have the only daughter she ever produced, BPIG Ch. Westpointe Shelgrande Soiree (Cayley). Cayley came to us courtesy of our good friend Linda Poirier (Westpointe) at the tender age of 10 weeks. Cayley produced for us 4 Champions and one more who is sitting on 9 points! Cayley is now the resident couch potato at 12 1/2 years young! Although she doesn't hear much anymore, she is still healthy and happy. She is the Grand-dam or Great Grand-dam of most of our Shelties. Can Ch. Wildwest Ole de Shelgrande (Ole) (Am/Can Ch. Wildwest Don Juan de Salsa x Can Ch. Sunnyvale Shelgrande Avignon (mjr ptd) Ole (pronounced oh-LAY) shown here at 10 months, is a beautifully sound Salsa Grand Daughter. She was co-bred with Sunnyvale and Shelgrande Shelties and we are very excited about her. We co-own her with Laura Willson (Wildwest Shelties). Ole finished her Can Championship in June, 2008. This gal is very sound, loves to play fetch and yet also loves to be a cuddle-bug. She is comfortable wherever our travels have taken her whether by vehicle or airplane. Her first show puppy will be hitting the rings this summer. She lives with Doug and Denise Porter in Kaslo, BC. As of July 20/09, Ole has returned to Arizona to work on her American Championship. |

| Can Ch. Shelgrande Dury Voe Dulce Vita (Am Can Ch. Cynchar Shelgrande Blackwatch x Dury Voe Oceana) Dulce is our blue bombshell who is co- bred with Judy Kelsey, Dury Voe Shelties and Shelgrande. She is a very endearing young lady and has a sound body and a beautiful head. She completed her Canadian Championship never beaten in the classes. She placed Reserve Winners Female at the Alberta Shetland Sheepdog and Collie Association Specialty in Calgary in January 2009. She then went on to finish her Championship at her next two shows. We are proud to have co-bred this beautiful girl. Dulce is now in Florida working on her Am Championship. |
